Made from 100% high quality prepreg carbon including the inner trumpets, this air collector replaces the stock plastic version and unleashes the roar of the naturally aspirated V8 engine.As the trumpet lengths are tuned to the inner volume, changing this setting can result in a loss of power, so we have kept the same volume so as not to affect the way the car drives in terms of power delivery. Although there is no performance gain from the carbon plenum, the intake noise produced takes the driving experience to a whole new level. We went through several iterations with different material thicknesses to fine tune the sound, and the resulting plenum produces an almost unbelievable intake sound! This plenum can be used with the OEM airbox or any other aftermarket intake system, including our own Eventuri intake systems for a real performance boost. The RS5/RS4 engine bay is very prone to heat build-up, so simply using an open filter system would result in better airflow at higher inlet temperatures. That's why we've completely redesigned the airflow from the turbo inlet to the front grille with a highly efficient sealed system. The standard restrictive airbox and flexible plastic inlet pipe have been replaced by our patented Venturi filter housing and a duct system with smooth transitions. The convoluted fabric inlet pipe is replaced by our Venturi housing and integrated full carbon pipe, resulting in a smoother airflow as it enters the turbo inlet pipe. The carbon housing encloses the rear-mounted filter and gently moulds the airflow downwards to the turbo tube, which corresponds in diameter to the turbo inlet. This is a key feature of the intake concept, where we have eliminated the requirement for a smooth transition to a coiled rubber hose between the intake and the engine. The filter housing and integrated pipe extend to the standard turbo pipe and by mounting to the engine, the entire filter housing moves with the engine. As the engine and filter housing moves under acceleration, it is able to maintain a seal to the duct through an expanding rubber profile fitted to the face of the duct. This gentle reduction of the cross-sectional area creates the Venturi effect, in which the airflow is accelerated while maintaining laminar conditions. It can be considered as a large funnel. Nice to see in the diagram showing the comparison between our patent pending design and an OEM intake system. Our custom filters assist the airflow through the housings and allow for a smooth velocity profile as the airflow exits the housings. Carbon main air duct with expanding sealThe duct directs ambient air from the scoop to the filter housing. It also creates a sealed volume of ambient air in front of the filter from which the system can draw air at any time. The duct has been designed to make optimum use of the volume available in the engine compartment. To ensure a good seal against engine compartment heat, the duct is also fitted with a flexible rubber rim around the openings, which presses against the filter housing and the OEM front duct, creating the desired seal while allowing the housing to move with the engine. To further improve airflow, we have an additional opening at the rear of the duct in the cold area of the engine bay. These ducts are made from prepreg carbon and match the rest of our E9X range for the ultimate OEM+ theme. We have also replaced the flexible connector between the ducts and the airbox with an EPDM coupling with our raised V logo. During development we considered adding air scoops to the front duct, but after analysis we realised that there was no performance benefit due to the small opening between the ducts and the airbox, so we decided not to add air scoops. This also leaves the grill openings clear for optimum flow to the radiator. The Eventuri carbon ducts are available in both gloss and matte finishes to match our plenum, intake and airbox lid. This intake system has been developed to provide the highest possible flow rate whilst maintaining the lowest possible intake temperatures. Each component has been designed to give the turbo a smooth and free flowing path. The intake manifold has an internal diameter of 103mm or just over 4? and has a gentle curve from the filter housing to the turbo inlet. Flow tests We conducted tests with a Superflow SF-1020 to measure the maximum possible flow rate at a pressure drop of 28" H2O. The tests were conducted on the same day under controlled conditions using the same test fixture for each system. We tested our complete intake system against the stock airbox system. The results show how restrictive the stock airbox is, which we were able to improve by up to 58% in maximum possible flow rate. Importantly, this was achieved with a sealed intake system so that intake temperatures are also kept to a minimum. Dyno tests Our RS3 intake system has been tested by various renowned tuners worldwide who have built high performance RS3/TTRS projects for road and track use. The first results come from MSL Performance, who tested our system on a stock 8Y RS3. The tests were carried out back-to-back on the same day. As you can see, there is a measurable gain across the rev range of up to 22bhp. This gain is noticeable even on a standard vehicle on the road due to better throttle response and faster acceleration. Our goal was to fulfill 2 main criteria:1) Increased flow rate.2) Uniform airflow.The first objective was achieved by utilizing the limited space in the engine bay of the RS6, which was severely restricted by the underside of the hood. Our solution was to completely redesign the entire airbox, maximizing the volume, increasing the airflow inlets and creating a more favorable filter angle to the turbos. We also dramatically enlarged the turbo inlets by up to 85% when measuring the cross-sectional area at the openings. The second objective was achieved by designing an organically shaped system with a specially rounded plate filter to ensure that the airflow path did not contain any sharp corners and therefore the flow remained laminar. With smooth transitions from the filter to the turbo inlets, our intake system minimizes the formation of turbulence, allowing the turbos to work more efficiently. Working with BMC, we have developed a bespoke filter element to ensure that the filter area is as large as possible while keeping the airflow clean.When all targets are met, our C8 RS6 intake system delivers on all fronts and allows the turbos to generate boost pressure more efficiently. This results in improved throttle response and significant power gains, which have been independently tested and increase with higher tuning levels. The measured power gains are a result of the complete system we have developed from the airbox base to the cover to the inlets. Dyno testsOur intake system has been independently tested both on the dyno and on the road. At higher tuning levels, the turbos require more air and so the standard airbox becomes a greater restriction. Here are some results from renowned tuners who have tested the intake system. STAGE 1 TESTSDyno tests were carried out by Awesome GTI in the UK on their own C8 RS6 fitted with an OPF exhaust and their own Stage 1 remap. The car was run 4 times in 4th gear with the stock airbox and then switched to the Eventuri whilst the car remained on the dyno. The car was then driven again 4 times in 4th gear. The tests were all carried out on the same day and no other changes were made. The graph below shows the highest power with the stock airbox compared to the highest power with the Eventuri intake. In both cases, these are the first dyno runs, with performance decreasing on subsequent dyno runs due to heat build-up. As can be seen below, the intake offers a significant increase in power across the entire rev range. The highlighted point shows the highest power increase in the 60 hp rpm range at the crankshaft. The resulting power increases are noticeable on the road, with better throttle response and improved acceleration times. STAGE 2 TESTSThe dyno tests on a Stage 2 RS6 were conducted by Eurocharged Canada on a car with aftermarket downpipes, intercoolers and their own Stage 2 remap. The values shown here are measured at the steering wheel. The car was run several times with the stock airbox and the Eventuri. The resulting figures are shown below after comparing the best stock and best Eventuri results. Again, we see a dramatic increase in performance and as this is stage 2, the stock airbox is an even bigger restriction. The highlighted dot shows the highest gain in the rev range of 79hp at the wheels. Taking inspiration from our RS3 intake, we have made the most of the available space to create an intake that is suitable for all power levels, from standard equipment through to high performance systems with hybrid or full frame turbos. This intake system has been developed to provide the highest possible flow rate while achieving the lowest possible intake temperatures. Each component has been designed to give the turbo a smooth and clear flow path. The restrictive standard intake pipe with a diameter of 73 mm is replaced by an intake pipe with a larger diameter of 94 mm. The filter itself has an outer diameter of 192mm or 7.5? with a filter area of over 110,000mm^2. The patented Venturi housing is designed to provide the largest possible internal volume for the space available in the Golf engine bay and provides laminar flow to the turbo pipe. Finally, the duct seals the filter opening at the windshield, but is not restricted by the stock intake alone. The resulting system can significantly outflow the stock airbox while keeping intake temperatures to a minimum with the sealed design. Dyno testingOur MK8 Golf intake has been independently tested by a renowned tuner in the UK, Regal Autosport. A MK8 Golf R was tested in original condition and with a tuning box. The tests were carried out on the same day, with the standard airbox being tested first and then the Eventuri. No other changes were made to the car. The first graph shows the results with a stock map. As you can see, there is a measurable gain across the rev range of up to 12 hp. This gain is noticeable even in a standard vehicle on the road due to better throttle response and faster acceleration. The tuning box was used for both the stock airbox and the Eventuri intake without any changes being made between tests. With a higher flow requirement, the stock airbox places a greater restriction on the turbo, which is evident by the significant gain achieved with the Eventuri fitted. We now have a power increase of up to 20 hp and 30 Nm across the entire rev range, which is even more noticeable on the road. We expect the gains to be even greater with higher tuning levels. The improvements are due to a combination of reasons:1) The closed system keeps IAT levels low - the Golf's engine bay can heat up very quickly, so an open cone filter leads to an increase in IAT levels and therefore a loss of power.2) The Venturi housing provides a smooth transition from the filter to the intake pipes, both of which are matched to an internal diameter of 94mm. The S5/S4 engine bay heats up very quickly, so an open system would result in better airflow but at higher inlet temperatures. Therefore, the airflow path from the front grille to the turbo inlet has been completely redesigned with a highly efficient, sealed system. The restrictive OEM airbox and the flexible plastic pipe have been replaced by a Venturi filter housing and a duct system with smooth transitions. In addition, by removing the pleated OEM pipe and replacing the filter with our patented one-piece venturi housing and rigid pipe, the airflow is much smoother as it enters the turbo inlet. The resulting increase in performance and aesthetics are ground-breaking innovations for this platform. The Eventuri difference The B9 S4/S5 Eventuri system uses our patent-pending carbon fibre housings with our bespoke Gen 2 filter, providing an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the inlets. Not just another filter with a heat shield, but a unique design that creates the Venturi effect. The intake was VBOX tested on the road to record acceleration from 60-130mph (and 100-200Km/h). The tests were carried out on the same track - and on the same day to minimise the variables. The results show that acceleration times from 60-130mph have reduced by almost 0.5 seconds, which is a significant improvement at such speeds. This shows that the gains measured on the dyno are not representative of how the intake behaves on the road when it has the correct flow conditions - on the road the intake shows a greater gain by reducing acceleration times compared to the dyno. All models built after 2018 have a temperature sensor. There are therefore two different products for both engine variants. The G20/G21 B48 Eventuri intake system was developed to provide the turbo with a less restrictive flow path while maintaining low intake temperatures. When designing an intake system for turbocharged engines, the focus is on heat and volume. On the G20, the intake system is located next to the exhaust manifold, which quickly fills the engine bay with heat. High temperatures have a detrimental effect on engine performance as the turbo would have to be charged with heated, less dense air, so the only way to minimise IATs is to have a fully sealed intake. However, this leads to a restriction with only one supply air inlet from which air is drawn. During development, we identified an additional opening in the wheel arch area and took advantage of this by adding a second intake to our airbox. In addition, our sealed airbox also features a gold reflective heat shield to minimise radiant heat transfer from the exhaust manifold. To maximise volume, we have made the airbox as large as possible with a recess for potential strut bracing. The standard corrugated intake pipe has been replaced with a smooth carbon pipe, which also has a larger internal volume with an initial internal diameter of 111 mm (4.4") and tapers gently downwards to match the turbo inlet. The pipe provides a smooth path from the filter to the turbo inlet. Finally, we use a customised high-flow dry filter that is ISO-tested for filtration performance and has a larger filter area than the standard filter. We have undertaken intensive research and development to create an intake system that not only outperforms the standard vehicle, but is also future proofed for power increases well in excess of 1000hp. Our system is a complete redesign from the airboxes to the turbo inlets with the aim of reducing pressure loss while increasing flow rate and keeping inlet temperatures low. We have maximized the use of available space and used 2 custom made filters with a 40% larger filter area than stock. These are used in our patented Venturi housings to direct the air evenly to the turbo inlets. The inlets themselves have a cross section up to 160% larger than standard and are fitted with an advanced dimpled inner surface to reduce frictional losses between the flow and the wall boundary. By creating an air "cushion" on the wall surface, the airflow can move through the inlets at higher flow rates and lower pressure drop. This allows the turbos to draw in air with less resistance, reducing the wastegate duty cycle, resulting in higher overall performance. Bench testThis intake system was independently bench tested by BR Performance in Belgium. The tests were carried out back-to-back with the standard airbox and several runs were made with each configuration. The tested vehicle was driven without an activated carbon filter. We compared the best results with the standard airbox and the best results with the Eventuri system. The results on the dyno show a constant increase across the entire rev range, which is due to the turbos reaching maximum boost pressure earlier and having a lower wastegate duty cycle due to the higher efficiency of the intake system. No warranty. (see pictures) We present an intake system that really sets new standards for the G8X platform. We have carried out intensive research and development work to create an intake system that not only outperforms the standard vehicle, but is also future-proof as it is suitable for power increases of well over 1000 bhp. Our system is a complete redesign from the airboxes to the turbo inlets with the aim of reducing pressure loss while increasing flow rate and keeping inlet temperatures low. We have maximised the use of available space and used 2 custom made filters with a 40% larger filter area than stock. These are used in our patented Venturi housings to direct the air evenly to the turbo inlets. The inlets themselves have a cross section up to 160% larger than standard and are fitted with an advanced dimpled inner surface to reduce frictional losses between the flow and the wall boundary. By creating an air "cushion" on the wall surface, the airflow can move through the inlets at higher flow rates and lower pressure drop. This allows the turbos to draw in air with less resistance, reducing the wastegate duty cycle, resulting in higher overall performance. Bench test This intake system was independently bench tested by BR Performance in Belgium. The tests were carried out back to back with the standard airbox and several runs were made with each configuration. The tested vehicle was driven without an activated carbon filter. We compared the best results with the standard airbox and the best results with the Eventuri system. The results on the test bench show a constant increase over the entire rev range, which is due to the fact that the turbos reach maximum boost pressure earlier and have a lower wastegate duty cycle due to the higher efficiency of the intake system. The G20/G21 B58 Eventuri intake system was developed to provide the turbo with a less restrictive flow path while maintaining low intake temperatures. When designing an intake system for turbocharged engines, the focus is on heat and volume. On the G20, the intake system is located next to the exhaust manifold, which quickly infuses the engine bay with heat. High temperatures have a detrimental effect on engine performance as the turbo would have to be charged with heated, less dense air, so the only way to keep IATs to a minimum is to have a fully sealed intake. However, this leads to a restriction with only one supply air intake from which air is drawn. During development, we identified an additional opening in the wheel arch area and took advantage of this by adding a second intake to our airbox. In addition, our sealed airbox also features a gold reflective heat shield to minimize radiant heat transfer from the exhaust manifold. To maximize volume, we've made the airbox as large as possible with a cutout for potential strut bracing. The standard corrugated intake pipe has been replaced with a smooth carbon pipe, which also has a larger internal volume with an initial internal diameter of 111 mm (4.4") and tapers gently downwards to match the turbo inlet. The pipe provides a smooth path from the filter to the turbo inlet. Finally, we use a custom high-flow dry filter that is ISO-tested for filtration performance and has a larger filter area than the standard filter. This system is a complete redesign of the stock airboxes with the aim of reducing pressure loss while increasing flow rate and keeping intake temperatures low. Since the stock cold air intakes are located at the front of the vehicle and the turbo intakes face the rear of the vehicle, the airflow must complete a 180-degree turn through each airbox, resulting in flow restriction. To overcome this problem, Eventuri have introduced an additional cold air intake from the cover plate, which allows a more direct flow path to the turbo inlets. Bench testingThis intake has been independently bench tested by MSL Performance in the UK. The tests were carried out back to back with the standard airbox and multiple runs were made with each configuration. The tested vehicle was driven without the activated carbon filter in the standard airboxes. The results on the test bench show a consistent increase in power over a large part of the rev range, which is due to the turbos reaching maximum boost pressure earlier and operating with a lower wastegate duty cycle due to the higher efficiency of the intake system. Heat and volume are the most important considerations when designing an intake system for turbocharged engines. On the G29, the intake system is located next to the exhaust manifold, which quickly heats up the engine bay with heat. High temperatures are detrimental to engine performance as the turbo would have to be charged with heated, less dense air, so the only way to minimise IATs is to have a fully closed intake. However, this results in a restriction with only one air intake from which air is drawn. During development, we noticed an additional opening in the wheel arch area and utilised this by adding an additional inlet in our air box. In addition, our sealed airbox also features a gold reflective heat shield to minimise radiant heat transfer from the exhaust manifold. To maximise volume, we have made the airbox as large as possible with a recess for potential strut bracing. The standard folded intake pipe has been replaced with a smooth carbon pipe, which also has a larger internal volume with an initial internal diameter of 111 mm (4.4?) and tapers smoothly to match the turbo inlet. The pipe provides a smooth path from the filter to the turbo inlet. Finally, we use a customised high flow dry filter that has been ISO tested for filtration performance and has a larger filter area than the standard filter. Dyno testing Our intake for the G29 was independently tested by AMS on a Supra (same engine) with downpipe and software. The tests were repeated on the same day, with only the airbox being replaced for our intake. As you can see, there is an increase in power for a large part of the rev range, with some areas showing an increase of over 20bhp. This is the result of derestricting the intake path whilst maintaining low intake temperatures by keeping a fully sealed system. A further dyno test was carried out in the UK by Evolve Automotive with a downpipe and Stage 2 software tuning. This dyno graph shows the difference between a fully stock Supra and then with the stock airbox, downpipe and stage 2 tune and finally with the Eventuri, downpipe and stage 2 tune a maximum power gain of 25bhp. All runs were carried out with the bonnet closed. Reducing heat suction and increasing internal volume are the main considerations when developing an intake system for turbocharged engines. In the A35, the intake system is located in close proximity to the exhaust manifold, which quickly heats up the engine compartment. High temperatures have a detrimental effect on engine performance, as the turbo has to build up boost pressure with heated, less dense air. Therefore, the only way to reduce IAT to a minimum is to have a completely sealed intake tract. To reduce the restrictions of a closed intake tract, we increased the volume of the airbox by relocating the ECU and providing an opening in the airbox on the cold side, away from the direct heat of the manifold. The carbon inlet pipe has a larger internal volume with an initial internal diameter of 111mm (4.4?) which tapers smoothly to match the turbo inlet pipe diameter. Finally, we use a custom high-flow dry filter that is ISO approved and has a larger filter area than the stock filter. Dyno testsThe dyno tests were carried out by MSL Performance, a Mercedes specialist based in the UK. A fully standard A35 AMG was tested with the standard airbox and then with the Eventuri intake system, with the same external conditions. As can be seen below, the intake system offers an increase in power throughout the rev range. The highlighted point shows a significant power gain as the intake allows a higher flow rate in the higher rev range where the stock airbox becomes a restriction. The resulting performance gains are noticeable on the road, with better throttle response and improved acceleration times. With a tuned A35 we would expect even better gains as the demand from the turbo increases. Our design consisted of 3 main objectives: 1) Increased flow 2) Low inlet temperatures 3) Smooth airflow The first objective was achieved by utilising all the limited space in the engine bay of the C63S, resulting in a 35% higher flow rate compared to the original system. The second goal was achieved by developing a fully enclosed system. The C63S engine bay reaches high temperatures with heat sources such as the turbos in close proximity to the intake system, so it is critical that the intake system remains sealed. The end goal was achieved by designing an organically moulded system with individual rounded panel filters to ensure the airflow path contained no sharp corners, keeping the flow laminar. With smooth transitions from the filters to the turbo inlets, our intake system minimises the creation of turbulence, allowing the turbos to operate more efficiently.When all 3 objectives are achieved, our intake system for the W205 C63(S) delivers on all fronts and allows the turbos to generate boost more efficiently. This leads to improved throttle response and real power gains, which increase the more power the engine has. As there are various turbo upgrades available for the C63/S, we have also developed a special solution for larger turbos. Our C63/S intake is available in 2 configurations: 61 mm ID outlets to fit standard turbos and 76.5 mm ID outlets to fit larger turbos. The F56 MINI Eventuri intake system is another example of our "complete system" principle. It is a closed system that ensures that the turbo does not draw in hot air from the engine bay, but is enriched with a functional bonnet scoop that forces ambient air into the intake duct. This duct has a larger internal volume than the standard version and also draws in air from the storage space above the radiator. The combination of a closed system with an air scoop results in lower intake temperatures than the standard airbox and prevents heat ingress, which is a common problem especially on higher performance MINIs. To ensure the smoothest possible flow, we use our patented filter housing in conjunction with a CNC machined MAF pipe to ensure the smoothest possible flow to the turbo. The OEM intake system draws air from behind the front grille, above the radiator. The openings for the intake of ambient air are relatively small and can therefore lead to heat build-up in the intake, especially on a tuned Mini. The OEM bonnet scoop does not supply air directly to the intake tract and as the bonnet already has 2 cut-outs under the scoop, we decided to utilise this feature and redesign the scoop. Our scoop is a direct replacement of the OEM part and snaps into place with the same mounting method. It has 2 intake ramps that direct the outside air into the intake duct through the existing cut-outs on the bonnet (see below). As the vehicle accelerates, more air is forced into the duct, minimising inlet temperatures and eliminating the problem of heat build-up.The scoop has a redesigned profile with a longer top surface to cover the openings, which also provides a more aggressive look. Made from 100% prepreg carbon fibre, the scoop offers incredible aesthetics for the vehicle. To further enhance the aesthetics, we used a V-shaped split weave with the carbon to create a symmetrical profile that works well and allows the scoop to sit in the centre of the cowl. Carbon intake duct: The OEM duct only takes in air behind the front grille and is very shallow over the slam panel. We redesigned the duct to let air in from the grill and also from the scoop. In addition, our duct has a much larger internal volume, allowing the intake system to breathe with less restriction. To protect from the heat of the engine bay, the duct is fitted with a flexible rubber ring around the openings on the underside of the bonnet, which seals with the bonnet when closed. It also has an expandable rubber edge around the opening to the filter housing, which ensures a good seal to the filter and allows movement with the engine. Performance data: Dyno tests were conducted on both a Cooper S and a JCW. The Cooper S had a stage 1 remap for the stock airbox and Eventuri. The JCW had a stage 2 remap and downpipe for the stock airbox and Eventuri. The Cooper S showed a peak gain of about 8hp and 11ft-lb of torque, but higher mid-range gains of 15hp and 25ft-lb of torque with a good gain through the rev range. Similarly, the Stage 2 JCW saw peak gains of 15hp, but much higher mid-range gains of 27hp and 26ft-lb of torque with a very good power gain throughout the rev range. These power gains were measured after changing only the stock air box for the Eventuri intake - all other changes were present for both the stock air box and the Eventuri intake. The gains measured on the dyno translate to increased part-throttle and full-throttle behaviour on the road, with the car pulling much more eagerly to the redline. By replacing the single standard airbox with individual patented Venturi filter housings, the turbos can spool and generate lift with less drag. As a result, wastegate duty cycles are reduced, resulting in peak boost at lower engine speeds and therefore increased power. The two individual filters provide a larger filter area compared to the single plate filter. To keep intake air temperatures low, the venturi housings are also sealed against an air duct that draws in ambient air from the same location as the stock system. As the engine bay of the 911 Turbo is tightly packed, high IATs can only be avoided by a fully sealed intake system. The Eventuri DifferenceThe 911 Turbo Eventuri system uses our patented carbon fiber housings with our custom Gen 2 filters that provide an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the turbos. Not just another cone filter with a heat shield, but a unique design that creates the Venturi effect and maintains laminar flow conditions to reduce drag on the turbo. The intake was tested on the road using a Vbox unit to record acceleration from 60-130mph. The tests were carried out on the same section of road again on the same day to minimize the variables.
