The Mercedes A35 AMG Eventuri intake system was developed to provide the turbo with a less restrictive flow path while keeping intake temperatures low. Reducing heat suction and increasing internal volume are the main considerations when developing an intake system for turbocharged engines. In the A35, the intake system is located in close proximity to the exhaust manifold, which quickly heats up the engine compartment. High temperatures have a detrimental effect on engine performance, as the turbo has to build up boost pressure with heated, less dense air. Therefore, the only way to reduce IAT to a minimum is to have a completely sealed intake tract. To reduce the restrictions of a closed intake tract, we increased the volume of the airbox by relocating the ECU and providing an opening in the airbox on the cold side, away from the direct heat of the manifold. The carbon inlet pipe has a larger internal volume with an initial internal diameter of 111mm (4.4?) which tapers smoothly to match the turbo inlet pipe diameter. Finally, we use a custom high-flow dry filter that is ISO approved and has a larger filter area than the stock filter.
Dyno testsThe dyno tests were carried out by MSL Performance, a Mercedes specialist based in the UK. A fully standard A35 AMG was tested with the standard airbox and then with the Eventuri intake system, with the same external conditions. As can be seen below, the intake system offers an increase in power throughout the rev range. The highlighted point shows a significant power gain as the intake allows a higher flow rate in the higher rev range where the stock airbox becomes a restriction. The resulting performance gains are noticeable on the road, with better throttle response and improved acceleration times. With a tuned A35 we would expect even better gains as the demand from the turbo increases.
The Eventuri A35 intake system consists of a number of components designed for a specific purpose and manufactured to the highest standards. We use 100% pre-impregnated carbon fiber without fiberglass, which means we can achieve a smooth inner surface to get a smoother airflow. KW coilover springs
The spring set with stepless lowering
KW coilover springs are used to lower the vehicle in combination with the standard dampers. In contrast to conventional spring sets, individual height adjustment is possible within the tested adjustment range. This solution uses vehicle-specific spring mounts with matched KW lowering springs and suitable elastomers as well as dust protection systems. The standard damper system, for example with electronic or hydraulic control, remains active.
Setup - sporty and harmonious spring rates
The high-quality chrome-silicon steel springs used by KW coilover springs are matched to the respective standard suspension dampers and wheel loads in their spring rate for each specific vehicle. When developing the respective spring sets, we ensure that the spring rates also harmonise perfectly with the different damper characteristics of your adaptive standard suspension. So even with a KW coilover spring set, you will experience your car more directly and dynamically. KW coilover springs are suitable for car drivers who want to lower their vehicle discreetly and take advantage of an individual adjustment range.
Stepless lowering
Similar to a coilover suspension, the KW coilover springs allow a stepless lowering in a discreet range. This is not possible with conventional lowering springs. The dust protection elements and spring travel limiters included in the scope of delivery are always adapted to the maximum possible lowering. This means that the height-adjustable KW springs can be used to achieve a sporty, harmonious driving behaviour without compromising the driving dynamics of performance-oriented vehicles.

In addition to tests on our KW 7-post driving dynamics test bench, we also carry out extensive test drives on country roads, the motorway and even on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, kilometre by kilometre, to guarantee you the perfect suspension set-up. For years, the KW V3, one of the world's top aftermarket products, has been the reference for coilover suspensions. With its damper characteristics, high-quality workmanship and outstanding durability, it has impressed discerning sports car drivers, tuners, large and small series manufacturers such as Alpina, MTM, Manthey, Oettinger and many other well-known companies in the international automotive industry.

Similar to our racing coilovers from the KW Competition programme, the rebound and compression damping of the KW V3 can be adjusted independently of each other. This individual tuning option is appreciated by tuners, sports car manufacturers, tuners and demanding drivers worldwide.
The perfect suspension setup for significantly more driving dynamics
If you have already carried out initial performance modifications to your sporty road vehicle, it is easy to incorporate these into the damper set-up in a targeted manner with the KW V3. The patented KW valve technology for the separate adjustment of the rebound and compression damping allows you to customise the vehicle-specific basic set-up from KW. For example, the KW bottom valve, which can be adjusted in twelve clicks in the low-speed range of the compression damping, gives you the freedom to even take the tyre characteristics of your high and ultra-high performance road tyres into account in the suspension set-up.
Thanks to the patented compression adjustment at the lower piston end of the stainless steel housing, you don't even need any tools. The adjustable compression adjustment with its twelve precise clicks allows you to influence body roll and body roll movements by hand without having to change the rebound damping to match the spring rate.
With the individually adjustable rebound damping of the KW V3, you can directly influence the handling and comfort through the exact click adjustment. Depending on the vehicle type, the rebound valves of the KW twin-tube dampers are adjusted at the upper end of the piston rod via an integrated adjustment wheel or the slip-on adjustment wheel included in the scope of delivery.
By increasing the rebound force via the adjustment wheel, the body movements on the body are reduced. As a result, your car tracks more accurately and you have even more stability at higher cornering speeds. If, for example, you change from the approved wheel/tyre combinations of your car manufacturer to larger rims, you can use the KW V3 to perfectly match the handling of your car and your new alloy wheels.
High-quality, customised and durable
The KW V3 is subjected to extensive quality tests during production and every single damper is checked. This is the only way we can fulfil our claim to provide a warranty of up to five years when a KW coilover suspension V3 is installed by a KW specialist dealer. Due to the filigree workmanship and the use of high-quality components, the KW coilover struts made of stainless steel, for example, are 100 per cent rust-free and have an unlimited service life.
This means that the functionality of the stepless lowering system via the dirt-resistant KW trapezoidal thread and the KW polyamide threaded ring is not impaired even after many years. Thanks to the individual lowering with its stepless adjustment range, you can also emphasise the sportiness of your vehicle visually. The Mercedes A35 Eventuri turbo pipe was developed to offer the turbo a less restrictive flow path compared to the standard pipe. We have succeeded in increasing the internal volume and eliminating the corrugated, flexible section on the airbox side. By using a completely solid pipe all the way from the intake tract to the turbo, the flow path is smoother and the airflow can remain more laminar. To accommodate the movement of the engine, our A35 intake has a "floating" pipe that can move within the airbox. The shape of the carbon tube on the turbo side has been optimised using CFD to minimise turbulence. The connection to the turbo is achieved by an innovative silicone coupling, which has an internal thermal separator between the carbon pipe and the metal turbo housing. The multiple vent ports at the rear of the pipe are done with a CNC machined block that also provides a smooth internal surface for airflow within the pipe.
The Eventuri A35-A250 turbo inlet pipe is made from prepreg carbon fibre and comes with a range of other components designed for a specific purpose and manufactured to the highest standards.
It is available to fit the A35, CLA35 and A250. The inlet pipe is only suitable for our intake system.
