Both the Eventuri Honda Civic FK2 Type-R Intake and the FK8 Type-R Intake were available in 2 versions. In both cases, the turbo pipe ONLY fits the new variants (V2) of the intakes. This means that for all customers with old (V1) intakes, the LMM pipe upgrade must first be purchased.

Eventuri offers two variants for both pipes (FK2 and FK8): Each for V1 and V2 customers.

The problem was the position of the OEM airbox, which sits directly in front of the radiator fan in the FK8. This arrangement poses a challenge for Eventuri's open filter system - how do you ensure that the intake system does not draw hot air out of the engine compartment?The solution is a completely new type of carbon scoop that draws the fresh airflow from the direction of the fenders. The opening, which is twice as large as the original airbox, is no longer in the airflow of the radiator fan and thus ensures cool and even ventilation. The well-known effect of the Eventuri intake systems then also takes effect in the Honda Civic Type-R FK8:The airflow is accelerated via the cone inside the filter housing. The bundled and directed air then reaches the turbo at lower temperatures and more evenly due to less friction in the air supply. This not only significantly improves responsiveness, but also increases performance. The fresh ambient air is now channelled into the intercooler system through redesigned intercooler ducts located under the boot lid. Cold, fresh air is drawn in by the charge air ducts, which are located on each side of the vehicle's rear side panelling. The air then flows into the inlet tanks on each side of the intercooler system module. The heat transfer process takes place as the charge air moves through the charge air cooler core and the ambient air from the upper charge air cooler ducts flows through the core and exits below the vehicle.
