With many other makes, pores in the edge material and joining surfaces where the edge is joined together often lead to a crack in the edge, which can result in unclean air being sucked into the engine. Blackboost Conical Twin Flow Synthetic Dry Air Filters The filter consists of two filter elements, firstly the primary filter element on the outside. The secondary filter element on the top increases the surface area through which the air can flow. Underneath the secondary filter element is a TPU cone which helps to direct the air flowing through the filter, reducing turbulence and increasing the overall flow rate. We opted for dry filters as they allow us to cover a wide range of applications involving mass airflow sensors that are damaged over time by oiled filters. With the synthetic cotton filter element, we can work completely dry (unoiled) and still ensure good filtration and airflow. The layers of the synthetic filter material are better than its non-synthetic counterpart as the layered structure of the synthetic cotton allows a homogeneous airflow through the filter. Upgrade Filter | Eventuri
One filter per item. Please order one or two filters depending on the system. Customised filter design We are pleased to introduce our customised filter design for 2018. This filter is a proprietary design developed to deliver optimal airflow through our Eventuri housings where the filter is mounted backwards. It is a direct replacement for all our systems fitted with Eventuri carbon filter housings and factory fitted in all new intake systems from 2018. Filtration and construction Unlike many other suppliers who use a conventional filter, we have carried out extensive research and development and invested significant resources in our own unique filter design, which is optimally suited to our patented backward orientated filter shape. The filter media consists of a non-woven mesh and is tested to ISO 5011, which is the same filtration standard as OEM filters. The mesh is double layered and dry which means it will not damage the air mass sensors with oil. Our filters have 2 flow guide cones which have been carefully modelled to direct the airflow as follows: Internal cone - designed to direct the incoming airflow through the filter and create a uniform velocity profile along the entire length of the filter material. This cone effectively helps to distribute the airflow across the filter without turbulence. External cone - CNC machined, with a unique profile that has been extensively optimised to draw the airflow to the centre and smoothly transfer it to the downstream bags. This cone creates a controlled area of turbulence around the tip which increases the convergence speed of the air, giving the connecting hose a higher velocity profile of airflow leading to the motor. Airflow The resulting smooth flow through the filter smooths out at the outlet of the inlet with a high velocity profile. In reality, this means that the engine can draw in air very efficiently and the driver will notice a sharper throttle response as well as the power and torque improvements. If the engine has a turbocharger, it can reach its peak power earlier as it operates with less resistance. Tests have shown that our systems reduce the waste-gate duty cycle by a significant percentage compared to the OEM system. Resulting improvements Through dyno testing, where the Eventuri is sequentially recorded with the original filters against the improved filters, we have found an additional power and torque gain. This confirms our theoretical modelling and proves that the improved filters have a significant impact on the airflow through the intake. The power gains over the original filters vary between vehicles, but here are some of the results we have measured so far. Ansaugsysteme FAQ

Der Zweck des Luftansaugsystems besteht darin, Luft zum Motor des Fahrzeugs strömen zu lassen. Der Sauerstoff aus der Luft ist einer der Hauptbestandteile der Verbrennung im Motor. 
Das originale Ansaugsystem wird von Werk aus häufig nicht auf Performance ausgelegt, sondern unter anderem eher auf eine Optimierung der Geräuschdämmung.
Für die Serienleistung ist dieses Ansaugsystem in den meisten Fällen ausreichend.

Ein optimales Ansaugsystem ermöglicht einen kontinuierlichen und sauberen Luftstrom in den Motor. 
Die Luftmasse bei höheren Fahrzeugleistungen wird erhöht, was u.a. eine Entlastung des Turboladers und somit auch eine Verbesserung der Laufleistung bedeutet.
Optimierte Ansaugsysteme führen den Brennräumen somit mehr Luft für die Verbrennung zu, dadurch wird mehr Benzin verbrannt, was die Leistung steigert.

Es bietet außerdem genug Spielraum für Leistungssteigerungen und verleiht dem Fahrzeug ein sportliches Ansauggeräusch.

Der Sportluftfilter erhöht die Luft- und Sauerstoffzufuhr. 
Damit bewirkt er im Verbrennungsraum eine kürzere Zeit, in der der Kraftstoff verbrannt wird. Demnach würde ein Sportluftfilter durch den stärkeren Luftstrom die Antriebsleistung des Fahrzeugs erhöhen.

Welche Vorteile hat ein Sportluftfilter?
Autoliebhaber und Motoren – ein ganz besonderes Thema. Der Motor muss kräftig sein und das Auto schnell fahren. Ein bisschen mehr Lautstärke schadet auch nicht. 
Verbesserter Motorklang:
Viele Sportluftfilter erzeugen ein tieferes, sportlicheres Motorgeräusch, was für Tuning-Fans ein attraktiver Aspekt sein kann.
Mögliche Leistungssteigerung:
Sportluftfilter können eine kleine Verbesserung der Motorleistung bewirken, indem sie eine höhere Luftmenge in den Motor lassen. 
Längere Lebensdauer:
Sportluftfilter sind in der Regel langlebiger als Standardluftfilter. Viele von ihnen sind waschbar und wieder verwendbar, was sie zu einer dauerhaften Option macht.
Ästhetik:
Für manche Autobesitzer ist der Einbau eines Sportluftfilters eine Frage des Stils und der Individualität.
Umweltfreundlicher:

Ist ein Sportluftfilter erlaubt? Alles zu den Vorschriften:
In der Regel müssen Sportluftfilter keine allgemeine Betriebserlaubnis für Fahrzeugteile (ABE) besitzen.

Wem es beim Fahren auf einen satten Sound ankommt, für den empfiehlt sich der Einbau eines Sportluftfilters. 
Wem die Leistungssteigerung wichtiger ist, der sollte auf einen austauschbaren Sportluftfilter zurückgreifen. Für effektives Motortuning sollte sich jedoch nicht nur auf den Luftfilter konzentriert werden. Hier versprechen andere Maßnahmen größeren Erfolg.
Zum Beispiel ein komplettes Ansaugsystem.

Was die Verrohrung zwischen Turbolader, Ladeluftkühler und Drosselklappe angeht, muss man daran denken, dass jeder Turbolader eine begrenzte Fördermenge an Frischluft hat, welche er komprimieren kann. 
Deswegen macht es bei der Ladeluftverrohrung keinen Sinn, einen großen Durchmesser zu wählen, wenn dadurch das Volumen der kühlen Ladeluft so groß ist, dass der Lader es gar nicht ausnutzen kann. Zudem braucht der Lader auch mehr Zeit zum Füllen der Ladeluftrohre mit kühler und komprimierter Luft, je größer der Durchmesser der Ladeluftrohre ist. 
Dementsprechend schlechter wird das Ansprechverhalten des Fahrzeugs.
Zusammenfassend kann man sagen, dass man bei der Ladeluftverrohrung darauf achten sollte, dass der Querschnitt der Rohre und somit das vom Lader zu füllende Volumen nicht zu groß ist oder unnötig lange Wege mit der Ladeluftverrohrung gegangen werden, wodurch sich das Volumen ebenfalls erhöht.

Charge Pipe (Ansaugrohr):
Die Charge Pipe verläuft vom Ladeluftkühler zur Drosselklappe.
Sie sorgt dafür, dass dem Motor ausreichend saubere Luft und Sauerstoff zugeführt wird.

Unsere Charge Pipes sind komplett aus Aluminium gefertigt und ersetzen die originalen Kunststoffrohre. Im Gegensatz zu OEM-Produkten platzen sie nicht unter Belastung und weisen eine lange Haltbarkeit auf.
Durch die verbesserte Luftströmungsdynamik und Reduzierung des Gegendrucks kann die Motorleistung gesteigert und das Ansprechverhalten verbessert werden. Zudem werden dadurch auch die Turbolader entlastet.

Boost Pipe:
Die Boost Pipe verläuft vom Turbolader zum Ladeluftkühler. 
Unsere Boost Pipes sind komplett aus Aluminium gefertigt und ersetzen die originalen Kunststoffrohre. Sie sorgen für eine vergrößerte Luftzufuhr zum Turbolader. 
Bei leistungsgesteigerten Fahrzeugen kann die Belastung durch den erhöhten Ladedruck das originale Rohr zum Platzen bringen.

Inlet Pipe / Turbo Inlet:
Die Inlet Pipe verläuft vom Air Intake zum Turbolader.
Das Inlet ist ein sehr wichtiges Bauteil zwischen Turbolader und Ansaugsystem, denn nur wenn der gesamte Weg bis zum Turbolader optimiert ist, kann das gesamte Potenzial von Turbolader und Motor zur Verfügung gestellt werden.
Entwickelt wurden die Inlets, um maximalen Durchsatz und optimalen Flow zu ermöglichen.
Das Serienbauteil ist restriktiv und hat zudem strömungsungünstige Kanten. Es ist nicht auf Performance ausgelegt, es erzeugt sogar eher Verwirbelungen und Staudruck.
