With impressive mesh dimensions of 620 mm x 440 mm x 65 mm and an external charge air volume of 17.7 liters (compared to 9 liters for OEM), this high-performance charge air cooler ensures optimum cooling of the charged air.
Our newly developed competition high-performance mesh (Tube Fine) not only enables excellent cooling performance, but also ensures sufficient airflow for adjacent components such as the water cooler. The intercooler remains lightweight and weighs only 9.2 kg in total. The cast aluminium end boxes have been optimized using CAD technology and CFD simulations to achieve optimum internal airflow. An integrated air duct in the end box ensures even filling of the competition high-performance mesh.
With an inlet and outlet diameter of Ø70 mm, this intercooler offers a significantly lower back pressure compared to the intercooler fitted as standard. In addition, all our charge air coolers are provided with a high-quality anti-corrosion coating, which not only ensures protection against environmental influences, but also has superior heat conduction properties. As the RS3 Gen 2 and TTRS 8S 8V platforms are widely used for highly tuned builds, we have developed a ground-breaking intake system that supports even the 1000hp mark. This intake system has been developed to provide the highest possible flow rate whilst maintaining the lowest possible intake temperatures. Each component has been designed to give the turbo a smooth and free flowing path. The intake manifold has an internal diameter of 103mm or just over 4? and has a gentle curve from the filter housing to the turbo inlet. The filter itself has been specifically designed for this intake system and has a huge outer diameter of 210mm or 8.3? with a filter area of over 130,000mm^2. The patented venturi housing has been designed to provide the maximum possible internal volume for the available space in the RS3 engine bay and to ensure laminar flow to the turbo pipe. We have raised the front of the duct to now create an additional opening behind the bonnet, equivalent to an additional 7? diameter opening from which air can be drawn. The resulting system has the ability to flow 840 CFM at 28? H2O while inlet temperatures are kept to a minimum by the sealed design.
The Eventuri difference
The 8V RS3/TTRS Eventuri system utilises our patented carbon housings which provide an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the turbo. Not just another cone filter with a heat shield, but a unique design that creates the Venturi effect.
Dyno tests:
Our Stage 3 intake system has been tested by various well-known tuners worldwide who have built high performance RS3/TTRS projects for street and track use. The first results come from BR Performance Netherlands, who tested our system on a TTRS with a TTE700 hybrid turbo. The tests were carried out back to back on the same day with the bonnet closed. They tested the stock airbox against our Stage 3 Intake and also with the additional 4-inch turbo inlet, which is an additional product.
Summary of the Dyno results:

The S3 8Y intake manifold is a complete redesign of the standard intake manifold right up to the turbo inlet. Taking inspiration from our RS3 intake, we have made the most of the available space to create an intake that is suitable for all power levels, from standard equipment through to high performance systems with hybrid or full frame turbos. This intake system has been developed to provide the highest possible flow rate while achieving the lowest possible intake temperatures. Each component has been designed to give the turbo a smooth and clear flow path. The restrictive standard intake pipe with a diameter of 73 mm is replaced by an intake pipe with a larger diameter of 94 mm. The filter itself has an outer diameter of 192mm or 7.5? with a filter area of over 110,000mm^2. The patented Venturi housing is designed to provide the largest possible internal volume for the space available in the Golf engine bay and provides laminar flow to the turbo pipe. Finally, the duct seals the filter opening at the windshield, but is not restricted by the stock intake alone. The resulting system can significantly outflow the stock airbox while keeping intake temperatures to a minimum with the sealed design.
Dyno testingOur MK8 Golf intake has been independently tested by a renowned tuner in the UK, Regal Autosport. A MK8 Golf R was tested in original condition and with a tuning box. The tests were carried out on the same day, with the standard airbox being tested first and then the Eventuri. No other changes were made to the car. The first graph shows the results with a stock map. As you can see, there is a measurable gain across the rev range of up to 12 hp. This gain is noticeable even in a standard vehicle on the road due to better throttle response and faster acceleration. The tuning box was used for both the stock airbox and the Eventuri intake without any changes being made between tests. With a higher flow requirement, the stock airbox places a greater restriction on the turbo, which is evident by the significant gain achieved with the Eventuri fitted. We now have a power increase of up to 20 hp and 30 Nm across the entire rev range, which is even more noticeable on the road. We expect the gains to be even greater with higher tuning levels.
The improvements are due to a combination of reasons:1) The closed system keeps IAT levels low - the Golf's engine bay can heat up very quickly, so an open cone filter leads to an increase in IAT levels and therefore a loss of power.2) The Venturi housing provides a smooth transition from the filter to the intake pipes, both of which are matched to an internal diameter of 94mm. This contributes to a more efficient operation of the turbo.3) The entire system is made of pure pre-impregnated carbon fiber, which provides excellent insulation against heat and has smooth inner surfaces, unlike fiberglass, which has sharp resin lines.

The carbon fibre intake system is an attractive high performance upgrade for the 1.8T and 2.0T engines found in various vehicles on the MQB platform. The factory intake design has the foundation for excellent performance, but much of it is sacrificed in an effort to fulfil other design requirements.
With requirements to support only factory power output, low noise levels and long service intervals, there is plenty of room for improvement. Expect more power and torque across the powerband with a more direct and responsive feel when operating the throttle. Engine and turbocharger noise will be improved and, depending on driving style, fuel consumption may even be reduced.
In the endeavour to achieve an ideal pressure ratio (1:1) between inlet and outlet, the intake area has several important features.
Through CFD optimisation and validation on the test bench, the filter housing of the intake section has been shaped into a spiral that uses the inertia of the air entering the system to increase the pressure on the outside of the filter. In this way, an even pressure distribution is achieved over the entire surface of the filter and not just at a few key points, maximising the utilisation of the filter area. Compared to many other common intake styles, the APR intake system allows the use of a small, compact filter with better filter utilisation than systems that are often twice the size.
Unlike conventional open element filters, the APR intake system only draws air from the grille area near the front edge of the bonnet. In this way, air is drawn in from an area of relatively high pressure. As the speed of the vehicle increases, the pressure builds up further and ultimately supports the effectiveness of the intake system. By sealing the intake system, the pressure created by the ram air effect and the spiral shape is not simply lost in the engine compartment. This is in contrast to filters with open elements, which draw in air from a relatively low pressure range in the engine compartment.
The design specifications called for an intake system that would only reproduce the true turbocharger sound of the engine when the air is drawn in through the turbocharger or expelled from the diverter valve when the throttle valve is lifted.
The stiffness of the carbon fibre composite material results in engine intake resonance, allowing occupants to hear a clean and clear intake note without sounding intrusive or cheap.

The Eventuri carbon intake system for VAG 2.0 TFSI replaces the cuboid OEM airbox and restrictive air ducts with the free-flowing Venturi air filter housing and a completely newly developed air duct.
The system is designed so that no hot air is drawn out of the engine compartment. Instead, only pure fresh air reaches the engine to generate maximum performance gains. The air routing has been designed to create an ideal transition between the round opening on the filter housing and the rectangular opening on the cover. Of particular importance is the air baffle at the front behind the radiator grille, which enables a direct supply of cold air into the intake system.
The patented Eventuri process also allows the airflow to be accelerated. This is achieved by means of the Venturi effect, in which the inverted conical filter causes the cross-section to become progressively narrower. This ultimately generates an increase in performance, torque and an improvement in response behaviour and sound.

KW coilover springs
The spring set with stepless lowering
KW coilover springs are used to lower the vehicle in combination with the standard dampers. In contrast to conventional spring sets, individual height adjustment is possible within the tested adjustment range. This solution uses vehicle-specific spring mounts with matched KW lowering springs and suitable elastomers as well as dust protection systems. The standard damper system, for example with electronic or hydraulic control, remains active.
Setup - sporty and harmonious spring rates
The high-quality chrome-silicon steel springs used by KW coilover springs are matched to the respective standard suspension dampers and wheel loads in their spring rate for each specific vehicle. When developing the respective spring sets, we ensure that the spring rates also harmonise perfectly with the different damper characteristics of your adaptive standard suspension. So even with a KW coilover spring set, you will experience your car more directly and dynamically. KW coilover springs are suitable for car drivers who want to lower their vehicle discreetly and take advantage of an individual adjustment range.
Stepless lowering
Similar to a coilover suspension, the KW coilover springs allow a stepless lowering in a discreet range. This is not possible with conventional lowering springs. The dust protection elements and spring travel limiters included in the scope of delivery are always adapted to the maximum possible lowering. This means that the height-adjustable KW springs can be used to achieve a sporty, harmonious driving behaviour without compromising the driving dynamics of performance-oriented vehicles.

In addition to tests on our KW 7-post driving dynamics test bench, we also carry out extensive test drives on country roads, the motorway and even on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, kilometre by kilometre, to guarantee you the perfect suspension set-up. For years, the KW V3, one of the world's top aftermarket products, has been the reference for coilover suspensions. With its damper characteristics, high-quality workmanship and excellent durability, it has impressed discerning sports car drivers, tuners, large and small series manufacturers such as Alpina, MTM, Manthey, Oettinger and many other well-known companies in the international automotive industry.

Similar to our racing coilovers from the KW Competition programme, the rebound and compression damping of the KW V3 can be adjusted independently of each other. This individual tuning option is appreciated by tuners, sports car manufacturers, tuners and demanding drivers worldwide.
The perfect suspension setup for significantly more driving dynamics
If you have already carried out initial performance modifications to your sporty road vehicle, it is easy to incorporate these into the damper set-up in a targeted manner with the KW V3. The patented KW valve technology for the separate adjustment of the rebound and compression damping allows you to customise the vehicle-specific basic set-up from KW. For example, the KW bottom valve, which can be adjusted in twelve clicks in the low-speed range of the compression damping, gives you the scope to even take the tyre characteristics of your high and ultra-high performance road tyres into account in the suspension set-up.
Thanks to the patented compression adjustment at the lower piston end of the stainless steel housing, you don't even need any tools. The adjustable compression adjustment with its twelve precise clicks allows you to influence body roll and body roll movements by hand without having to change the rebound damping to match the spring rate.
With the individually adjustable rebound damping of the KW V3, you can directly influence the handling and comfort through the exact click adjustment. Depending on the vehicle type, the rebound valves of the KW twin-tube dampers are adjusted at the upper end of the piston rod via an integrated adjustment wheel or the slip-on adjustment wheel included in the scope of delivery.
By increasing the rebound force via the adjustment wheel, the body movements on the body are reduced. As a result, your car tracks more accurately and you have even more stability at higher cornering speeds. If, for example, you change from the approved wheel/tyre combinations of your car manufacturer to larger rims, you can use the KW V3 to perfectly match the handling of your car and your new alloy wheels.
High-quality, customised and durable
The KW V3 is subjected to extensive quality tests during production and every single damper is checked. This is the only way we can fulfil our claim to provide a warranty of up to five years when a KW coilover suspension V3 is installed by a KW specialist dealer. Due to the filigree workmanship and the use of high-quality components, the KW coilover struts made of stainless steel, for example, are 100 per cent rust-free and have an unlimited service life.
This means that the functionality of the stepless lowering system via the dirt-resistant KW trapezoidal thread and the KW polyamide threaded ring is not impaired even after many years. Thanks to the individual lowering with its stepless adjustment range, you can also emphasise the sportiness of your vehicle visually. Even in their basic set-up, KW Clubsport coilovers are tuned to the different track surfaces, steep bends, jumps and chicanes of the 20.8 kilometre long Nürburgring Nordschleife. After all, as one of the most successful suspension manufacturers and suppliers in motorsport, we are at home on the Nordschleife.
In the VLN Endurance Championship alone, we equip over 70 racing teams and, as a suspension manufacturer, have been able to support six overall victories at the ADAC Zurich 24h Race Nürburgring in ten years. The winner of the ADAC GT Masters 2011 also relies on our racing expertise, from which the KW Clubsport coilovers benefit.
The basic setup of the KW V3 Clubsport and KW V4 Clubsport with separate reservoir, which is perfectly adapted to the Nordschleife, allows you to customise your sports car even more individually to the desired sports tyre setup thanks to the numerous adjustment options.
KW V4 Clubsport coilover suspension
The vehicle-specific basic setup of the KW V4 Clubsport, developed in numerous test and measurement drives on the Nordschleife and the KW 7-post driving dynamics test bench, can be further adapted to your wheel loads, vehicle weight and the modified body stiffness, for example with a bolted cage, welded-in safety cell or strut braces, using the click adjustment. Similar to the KW Competition racing suspensions used in international motorsport, the KW V4 Clubsport coilover suspension allows the compression damping to be fine-tuned separately in the low-speed and high-speed range. The click adjustment of the patented KW two-valve control takes place directly on the expansion tank.
You can vary the low-speed compression damping by hand with six precise clicks on the purple-coloured adjustment wheel. The gold-coloured adjustment wheel underneath allows you to change the high-speed compression stage of the recommended basic setup for your track day with 14 exact clicks. Independently of this, you still have 16 clicks at your disposal to noticeably adjust the rebound setting. If you want to tune the KW V4 Clubsport coilover suspension, which is available with an expert opinion, more comfortably for your journey to the Nordschleife or other race track for driving on the motorway, simply reduce the rebound forces via the rebound damping.
