Customised filter design
We are pleased to introduce our customised filter design for 2018. This filter is a proprietary design developed to deliver optimal airflow through our Eventuri housings where the filter is mounted backwards. It is a direct replacement for all our systems fitted with Eventuri carbon filter housings and factory fitted in all new intake systems from 2018.

Filtration and construction
Unlike many other suppliers who use a conventional filter, we have carried out extensive research and development and invested significant resources in our own unique filter design, which is optimally suited to our patented backward orientated filter shape. The filter media consists of a non-woven mesh and is tested to ISO 5011, which is the same filtration standard as OEM filters. The mesh is double layered and dry which means it will not damage the air mass sensors with oil. Our filters have 2 flow guide cones which have been carefully modelled to direct the airflow as follows:

Internal cone - designed to direct the incoming airflow through the filter and create a uniform velocity profile along the entire length of the filter material. This cone effectively helps to distribute the airflow across the filter without turbulence.

External cone - CNC machined, with a unique profile that has been extensively optimised to draw the airflow to the centre and smoothly transfer it to the downstream bags. This cone creates a controlled area of turbulence around the tip which increases the convergence speed of the air, giving the connecting hose a higher velocity profile of airflow leading to the motor.

Airflow
The resulting smooth flow through the filter smooths out at the outlet of the inlet with a high velocity profile. In reality, this means that the engine can draw in air very efficiently and the driver will notice a sharper throttle response as well as the power and torque improvements. If the engine has a turbocharger, it can reach its peak power earlier as it operates with less resistance. Tests have shown that our systems reduce the waste-gate duty cycle by a significant percentage compared to the OEM system.

Resulting improvements
Through dyno testing, where the Eventuri is sequentially recorded with the original filters against the improved filters, we have found an additional power and torque gain. This confirms our theoretical modelling and proves that the improved filters have a significant impact on the airflow through the intake. The power gains over the original filters vary between vehicles, but here are some of the results we have measured so far. Please note - these graphs show Eventuri intakes with original filters versus upgraded filters. Not against the stock airboxes - the increase in performance is huge!
