These sports air filters have polyurethane as the edge material. Polyurethane is more resistant to petrol, vapours and the like. It has an ideal remoulding. This ensures that the edge of the filter is 100% sealed even when it is reinserted after cleaning.
The edge surface is made from a single mould. With many other makes, pores in the edge material and joining surfaces where the edge is joined together often lead to a crack in the edge, which can result in unclean air being sucked into the engine.
With paper filters, the air flow rate is significantly lower and decreases further after just a short period of use.In addition, paper filters must be disposed of after the specified mileage. TitanTec sports air filters last a lifetime. This is good for the environment and your wallet.Other washable cotton filters only filter much larger particles compared to TitanTec sports air filters.
Cleaning the filters:A TitanTec sports air filter has no oil residue and has 100% of its original performance again after cleaning.Cleaning is quick and easy.We recommend cleaning after 15,000-20,000 kilometres or once a year at the latest.The best time to clean the air filter is around the end of May or beginning of June, i.e. after the pollen count, as this is the time when the air filter is under the most strain.Under no circumstances should aggressive cleaning agents such as petroleum ether, cleaning petrol, brake cleaner etc. be used, as this can damage the material.

Wer einen S58-befeuerten G8X bewegt, kennt das Detail, das BMW ab Werk offen gelassen hat: An einer Stelle der vorderen Radhausschale schleift das Material genau dort, wo ein Lüftungsgitter sitzt — auf Dauer ein Scheuern, das niemand am M2, M3 oder M4 sehen will. Das Aulitzky Lüftungsgitter-Set löst dieses Problem an der Wurzel und macht aus einer Schwachstelle gleich zwei Vorteile.
Das erste Gitter ersetzt den kritischen Bereich der Radhausschale und sorgt dafür, dass nichts mehr schleift — sauber abgedeckt, formstabil und dauerhaft. Das zweite Gitter geht einen Schritt weiter: Hinter einer ab Werk verschlossenen Abdeckung sitzt am G8X bereits ein vorhandener Lüftungskanal zur Bremse. Dieser Kanal wird geöffnet und mit dem Aulitzky-Gitter zugleich gesichert. Das Ergebnis ist eine spürbar bessere Anströmung der vorderen Bremse, während das engmaschige Wabengitter den Kanal vor Steinschlag und Schmutz schützt.
Beide Gitter tragen den eingelaserten AULITZKY-Schriftzug im markanten Wabendesign. Das ist kein Zubehör von der Stange, sondern eine durchdachte Lösung vom Spezialisten für BMW M — Performance-Tuning mit Namen, das funktionalen Mehrwert und sichtbare Veredelung in einem Set vereint.

Der S58 hängt seinen Ölkühler tief und flach unter der Front — strömungstechnisch clever, aber im Alltag eine offene Flanke. Ab Werk schützt nur eine Kunststoff-Unterbodenverkleidung mit großer Öffnung, und genau dort treffen Steinschlag, Splitt, Eisbrocken oder die Kante eines Parkriegels ungebremst auf den Kühler. Ein einziger harter Treffer kann den Ölkühler aufreißen — mit Ölverlust und im schlimmsten Fall einem Motorschaden als Folge. Bei einem Triebwerk vom Kaliber des S58 ist das ein Risiko, das niemand eingehen muss.
Der Aulitzky Ölkühler-Unterfahrschutz ersetzt die anfällige Serienverkleidung durch eine robuste Metallkonstruktion, die den Ölkühler und die darunterliegenden Bauteile zuverlässig abschirmt. Das Herzstück ist das integrierte Wabengitter: Es lässt die volle Kühlluft an den Ölkühler — die Öltemperaturen bleiben dort, wo sie hingehören — und fängt zugleich alles ab, was dem Kühler gefährlich werden könnte. Schutz und Kühlleistung schließen sich hier nicht aus, sondern gehen Hand in Hand.
Gefertigt aus pulverbeschichtetem Metall, formstabil und korrosionsfest, mit eingelasertem AULITZKY-Schriftzug im markanten Wabendesign. Die Montage erfolgt anstelle der Original-Verkleidung an den vorhandenen Aufnahmepunkten — kein Provisorium, sondern eine sauber integrierte Lösung.
