The most important features of the MOVIT brake system are- The progressive staggering of the piston diameters, matched to the vehicle, so that precisely parallel contact pressure between the pad and the disc is guaranteed. This enables even wear of the brake pads and ensures even heat transfer and a reduced system temperature.- Very good heat dissipation due to the open design of the brake pad contour.- Calipers manufactured from high-strength, highly tempered aircraft aluminium 7075 with high-quality material properties (stiffer components, more homogeneous structure), hard anodised and coated with a triple layer of paint.- Optimised stability due to the length of the callipers- Larger brake disc diameter and thickness, more cross holes (each pre-cast hole is re-drilled and countersunk, which has a favourable effect on the flow).- The brake discs are thermally tempered.- The optimised DDE ventilation system (double directional evolvent system) of the brake disc has an 80% larger surface area compared to other brake discs, the temperature of the brake disc is significantly reduced and therefore also the wear.- Long service life of the wearing parts, excellent response behaviour, steel flex lines ensure consistent performance.- Optimally matched brake pads ensure fading resistance, a long service life and reduced wear on spare parts Attention: The conversion means that only rims with at least 19 inches can be fitted! The main aspects are the balance between aerodynamic efficiency and air intake temperature. An open system was chosen but with differences to other aftermarket airboxes. This can be recognised by the shape of the carbon housing and the position and shape of the air filter. The inverted cone-shaped filter, which is also encased in carbon fibre, creates the so-called Venturi effect. The resulting uniform laminar airflow means that a power increase of +15 hp is realistic. The airbox is manufactured using the prepreg carbon fibre process. Parts certificate The manufacturer's specifications apply for installation. An existing certificate is no guarantee that the product can also be installed in the corresponding vehicle. The S5/S4 engine bay heats up very quickly, so an open system would result in better airflow but at higher inlet temperatures. Therefore, the airflow path from the front grille to the turbo inlet has been completely redesigned with a highly efficient, sealed system. The restrictive OEM airbox and the flexible plastic pipe have been replaced by a Venturi filter housing and a duct system with smooth transitions. In addition, by removing the pleated OEM pipe and replacing the filter with our patented one-piece venturi housing and rigid pipe, the airflow is much smoother as it enters the turbo inlet. The resulting increase in performance and aesthetics are ground-breaking innovations for this platform. The Eventuri difference The B9 S4/S5 Eventuri system uses our patent-pending carbon fibre housings with our bespoke Gen 2 filter, providing an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the inlets. Not just another filter with a heat shield, but a unique design that creates the Venturi effect. The intake was VBOX tested on the road to record acceleration from 60-130mph (and 100-200Km/h). The tests were carried out on the same track - and on the same day to minimise the variables. The results show that acceleration times from 60-130mph have reduced by almost 0.5 seconds, which is a significant improvement at such speeds. This shows that the gains measured on the dyno are not representative of how the intake behaves on the road when it has the correct flow conditions - on the road the intake shows a greater gain by reducing acceleration times compared to the dyno. This helps the turbo to run more efficiently by maintaining laminar flow in the inlet section. 3) The entire system is made of pure pre-preg carbon fibre, which is excellent for thermal insulation.
