As a result, wastegate duty cycles are reduced, resulting in peak boost at lower engine speeds and therefore increased power. The two individual filters provide a larger filter area compared to the single plate filter. By using customised filters with an outer diameter of 192 mm or 7.5? and a filter surface area of over 110,000 mm^2 each, we have made optimum use of the available space. Intake air temperatures have also been minimised through a sealed system and the use of carbon fibre, which has a low coefficient of thermal conductivity across the wall thickness. All constrictions of the original intake manifold were eliminated and adapted to a standardised cross-section.
