The F6X JCW Eventuri intake system is a perfect example of our "Complete System" principle. It is a sealed system that ensures the turbo does not draw in hot air from the engine bay, but is complemented with a functional cowl scoop that forces ambient air into the intake duct. This duct has a larger internal volume than the standard version and also draws in air at the standard point above the radiator. The combination of a closed system with an air scoop results in lower intake temperatures than the standard airbox and avoids heat sacks, which are a frequent problem, especially on more powerful MINIs. To ensure the smoothest possible flow, we use our patented Venturi filter housing, which has an integrated MAF section for a seamless flow path to the turbo.

The Eventuri Difference
The F5X JCW Eventuri system uses our patented carbon fiber housing that provides an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the turbo. It's not another cone filter with a heat shield, but a unique design that utilizes the Venturi effect and maintains laminar flow conditions to reduce turbo drag.

The fresh ambient air is now channelled into the intercooler system through redesigned intercooler ducts located under the boot lid. Cold, fresh air is drawn in by the charge air ducts, which are located on each side of the vehicle's rear side panelling. The air then flows into the inlet tanks on each side of the intercooler system module. The heat transfer process takes place as the charge air moves through the charge air cooler core and the ambient air from the upper charge air cooler ducts flows through the core and exits below the vehicle. The intercooled charge air from both cores is then combined in the single outlet reservoir in the centre section before entering the Y-pipe, which is connected to the engine's throttle body.
