This intake system has been developed to provide the highest possible flow rate whilst maintaining the lowest possible intake temperatures. Each component has been designed to give the turbo a smooth and free flowing path. The intake manifold has an internal diameter of 103mm or just over 4? and has a gentle curve from the filter housing to the turbo inlet. The filter itself has been specifically designed for this intake system and has a huge outer diameter of 210mm or 8.3? with a filter area of over 130,000mm^2. The patented venturi housing has been designed to provide the maximum possible internal volume for the available space in the RS3 engine bay and to ensure laminar flow to the turbo pipe. We have raised the front of the duct to now create an additional opening behind the bonnet, equivalent to an additional 7? diameter opening from which air can be drawn. The resulting system has the ability to flow 840 CFM at 28? H2O while inlet temperatures are kept to a minimum by the sealed design.
