The main aspects are the balance between aerodynamic efficiency and air intake temperature. An open system was chosen but with differences to other aftermarket airboxes. This can be recognised by the shape of the carbon housing and the position and shape of the air filter, and the airbox is manufactured using the prepreg carbon process. Stepless loweringThe KW V1 enables maximum lowering within the tested adjustment range. This varies depending on the vehicle model and can, for example, be between 30 and 70 millimetres or 50 to 90 millimetres for an individual lowering. Thanks to the dirt-resistant trapezoidal thread and the polyamide threaded ring, the stepless lowering can be varied quickly and easily even years later. Depending on the vehicle, lowering is carried out either on the wheel-guiding KW stainless steel suspension struts or, in the case of non-wheel-guiding double-wishbone rear axles, on the rear axle height adjustment.
