This arrangement poses a challenge for Eventuri's open filter system - how do you ensure that the intake system does not draw hot air out of the engine compartment?The solution is a completely new type of carbon scoop that draws the fresh airflow from the direction of the fenders. The opening, which is twice as large as the original airbox, is no longer in the airflow of the radiator fan and thus ensures cool and even ventilation. The well-known effect of the Eventuri intake systems then also takes effect in the Honda Civic Type-R FK8:The airflow is accelerated via the cone inside the filter housing.
