KW coilover springs
The spring set with stepless lowering
KW coilover springs are used to lower the vehicle in combination with the standard dampers. In contrast to conventional spring sets, individual height adjustment is possible within the tested adjustment range. This solution uses vehicle-specific spring mounts with matched KW lowering springs and suitable elastomers as well as dust protection systems. The standard damper system, for example with electronic or hydraulic control, remains active.
Setup - sporty and harmonious spring rates
The high-quality chrome-silicon steel springs used by KW coilover springs are matched to the respective standard suspension dampers and wheel loads in their spring rate for each specific vehicle. When developing the respective spring sets, we ensure that the spring rates also harmonise perfectly with the different damper characteristics of your adaptive standard suspension. So even with a KW coilover spring set, you will experience your car more directly and dynamically. KW coilover springs are suitable for car drivers who want to lower their vehicle discreetly and take advantage of an individual adjustment range.
Stepless lowering
Similar to a coilover suspension, the KW coilover springs allow a stepless lowering in a discreet range. This is not possible with conventional lowering springs. The dust protection elements and spring travel limiters included in the scope of delivery are always adapted to the maximum possible lowering. This means that the height-adjustable KW springs can be used to achieve a sporty, harmonious driving behaviour without compromising the driving dynamics of performance-oriented vehicles.

KW V4 Clubsport coilover suspensionThe vehicle-specific basic setup of the KW V4 Clubsport, developed in numerous test and measurement drives on the Nordschleife and the KW 7-post driving dynamics test bench, can be further adapted to your wheel loads, vehicle weight and the modified body stiffness, for example with a bolted cage, welded-in safety cell or strut braces, using the click adjustment. Similar to the KW Competition racing suspensions used in international motorsport, the KW V4 Clubsport coilover suspension allows the compression damping to be fine-tuned separately in the low-speed and high-speed range. The click adjustment of the patented KW two-valve control takes place directly on the expansion tank.
You can vary the low-speed compression damping by hand with six precise clicks on the purple-coloured adjustment wheel. The gold-coloured adjustment wheel underneath allows you to change the high-speed compression stage of the recommended basic setup for your track day with 14 exact clicks. Independently of this, you still have 16 clicks at your disposal to noticeably adjust the rebound setting. If you want to tune the KW V4 Clubsport coilover suspension, which is available with an expert opinion, more comfortably for your journey to the Nordschleife or other race track for driving on the motorway, simply reduce the rebound forces via the rebound damping.

The carbon fibre intake system is an attractive high performance upgrade for the 1.8T and 2.0T engines found in various vehicles on the MQB platform. The factory intake design has the foundation for excellent performance, but much of it is sacrificed in an effort to fulfil other design requirements.
With requirements to support only factory power output, low noise levels and long service intervals, there is plenty of room for improvement. Expect more power and torque across the powerband with a more direct and responsive feel when operating the throttle. Engine and turbocharger noise will be improved and, depending on driving style, fuel consumption may even be reduced.
In the endeavour to achieve an ideal pressure ratio (1:1) between inlet and outlet, the intake area has several important features.
Through CFD optimisation and validation on the test bench, the filter housing of the intake section has been shaped into a spiral that uses the inertia of the air entering the system to increase the pressure on the outside of the filter. In this way, an even pressure distribution is achieved over the entire surface of the filter and not just at a few key points, maximising the utilisation of the filter area. Compared to many other common intake styles, the APR intake system allows the use of a small, compact filter with better filter utilisation than systems that are often twice the size.
Unlike conventional open element filters, the APR intake system only draws air from the grille area near the front edge of the bonnet. In this way, air is drawn in from an area of relatively high pressure. As the speed of the vehicle increases, the pressure builds up further and ultimately supports the effectiveness of the intake system. By sealing the intake system, the pressure created by the ram air effect and the spiral shape is not simply lost in the engine compartment. This is in contrast to filters with open elements, which draw in air from a relatively low pressure range in the engine compartment.
The design specifications called for an intake system that would only reproduce the true turbocharger sound of the engine when the air is drawn in through the turbocharger or expelled from the diverter valve when the throttle valve is lifted.
The stiffness of the carbon fibre composite material results in engine intake resonance, allowing occupants to hear a clean and clear intake note without sounding intrusive or cheap.
