Der Strömungsweg von den Filtern zu den Turboeinlässen ist sehr direkt und ändert die Richtung nicht so abrupt wie bei den üblichen OEM-Airbox-Konstruktionen. Statt einer kompletten Neukonstruktion haben wir uns also auf die Verbesserung der OEM-Airbox mit weniger restriktiver Strömung und verbesserter Temperatureffizienz konzentriert. The flow path from the filters to the turbo inlets is very direct and does not change direction as abruptly as the usual OEM airbox designs. So instead of a completely new design, we focussed on improving the OEM airbox with less restrictive flow and improved temperature efficiency. We have developed replacement filters made of non-woven fabric, which have a much higher flow rate compared to the paper filters. To lower air intake temperatures and force air into the airbox, we designed large front vanes that sit behind the grilles. The carbon vanes direct air into the ducts and effectively insulate the intake side of the airbox. The final piece is the carbon airbox lid, which doesn't increase performance, but allows for a more audible intake sound and gives the engine bay a much needed aesthetic improvement. The Eventuri X3M/X4M intake system consists of a number of components designed for a specific purpose and manufactured to the highest standards. Für den X3M/X4M haben wir unsere übliche Strategie gewählt, um eine diskrete Ästhetik mit außergewöhnlicher aerodynamischer Effizienz zu verbinden. Das fertige Werk mit dem Köperwebmuster ist optisch noch eindrucksvoller als das serienmäßige Pendant und fügt sich dennoch perfekt in die M Performance Designdetails ein. Der von Sterckenn entwickelte Frontsplitter besteht aus drei vertikalen Stäben, die den aggressiven Auftritt der heißen BMW SUVs dramatisch unterstreichen, ohne deren Nutzbarkeit zu beeinträchtigen. Der aus drei unabhängigen Komponenten bestehende Splitter beeinträchtigt die Bodenfreiheit des Stoßfängers nicht und ist dank seiner Anbauform einfach zu montieren. Die dreiteilige Bauweise bringt zusätzlich den Vorteil geringerer Versandkosten.
