The 3.0 liter S55B30 turbo engine is equipped with an indirect charge air cooling circuit. This means that the charge air is not cooled using the ambient air as a cooling medium (as usual), but with the aid of a separate cooling water circuit. A reduction in the cooling water temperature can therefore be directly equated with an improved cooling performance of the charge air. This is precisely where the advantages of the WAGNERTUNING upgrade water coolers come into play. The newly developed competition racing nets of the WAGNERTUNING high-performance water coolers increase the radiator volume of the standard water coolers by 89% for the front and 94% for the side. The ratio between the inner and outer cooling surface generates maximum heat transfer and at the same time allows the adjacent components (e.g. the engine water cooler located behind it) sufficient air flow for heat exchange. Furthermore, the increased cooling water volume allows the entire system thermal to be kept at a lower level over a longer period of time.

All WAGNERTUNING water coolers are equipped with a thermally conductive anti-corrosion coating to ensure a long-lasting cooling effect. The installation of the system is also uncomplicated and plug & play with the help of our installation instructions.
