With its impressive net dimensions of 640 mm x 410 mm x 65 mm, it offers a generous external charge air volume of 17 liters (compared to the 9 liters of the OEM model). Here, our newly developed competition high-performance mesh (Tube Fin) sets new standards. It enables optimum airflow and at the same time ensures sufficient cooling for neighboring components such as the water cooler. And the best thing about it? Despite its size, the intercooler remains surprisingly light at just 8.4 kg.

The cast aluminum end boxes have been perfected using the latest CAD technology and CFD simulations to ensure optimal internal airflow. Innovative air routing in the end box ensures even distribution of air throughout the Competition high performance network. The inlets and outlets of the intercooler have been enlarged to an impressive Ø 70mm, which is why this kit is equipped with reinforced silicone hoses. Thanks to these advantages, the intercooler offers significantly reduced back pressure compared to the standard model.

Of course, this intercooler also features our tried-and-tested anti-corrosion coating with outstanding heat conduction properties. This guarantees long-lasting and optimum cooling performance, which leads to a noticeable increase in performance. By utilising our patented Venturi housing concept, the airflow can pass through the filters on a much less tortuous path, reducing the drag of the system. In addition, by increasing the total volume in the intake tract, the maximum flow capacity has also been increased. By using customised filters with an outer diameter of 192 mm or 7.5? and a filter surface area of over 110,000 mm^2 each, we have made optimum use of the available space. Intake air temperatures have also been minimised through a sealed system and the use of carbon fibre, which has a low coefficient of thermal conductivity across the wall thickness. The result is a real increase in performance and a noticeable improvement in throttle response. The Eventuri difference The 991 GT3 RS Eventuri system uses our patented carbon fibre housing, which provides an aerodynamically efficient airflow path from the filter to the engine. Flow tests We conducted flow tests using a Superflow SF-1020 to measure the maximum possible flow rate at a pressure drop of 28" H2O. The tests were performed on the same day under controlled conditions, using the same test fixture for each system. We tested our complete intake system compared to the stock airbox system. The results show an increase in maximum flow by an additional 120 CFM over the OEM airbox. Importantly, this was achieved with a sealed intake system so that intake temperatures are also kept to a minimum. Bench test Our GT3 RS intake was independently tested by ES Motors, who build high performance Porsches in the UK. The tests were carried out on a chassis dyno on the same day, one after the other. As you can see, there is a measurable gain across the rev range, not just at the peak, which is more important as the increased area under the graph shows that the intake has an impact beyond the headlines. This gain is noticeable even on a production car on the road through better throttle response and quicker acceleration. The first chart is the summary of the results and the second is a screenshot of the dyno test to show the gain in the mid-range. The flow path from the filters to the turbo inlets is very direct and does not change direction as abruptly as the usual OEM airbox designs. So instead of a completely new design, we focussed on improving the OEM airbox with less restrictive flow and improved temperature efficiency. We have developed replacement filters made of non-woven fabric, which have a much higher flow rate compared to the paper filters. To lower air intake temperatures and force air into the airbox, we designed large front vanes that sit behind the grilles. The carbon vanes direct air into the ducts and effectively insulate the intake side of the airbox. The final piece is the carbon airbox lid, which doesn't increase performance, but allows for a more audible intake sound and gives the engine bay a much needed aesthetic improvement.
