Important: Is it permitted to attach the licence plates with magnets?
The Vehicle Licensing Ordinance (FZV) regulates who has to attach which licence plate and where.
According to §10 Paragraph 5 of the FZV, licence plates must be present and firmly attached to the front and rear of the vehicle. Neither the term "fixed" nor the type of attachment is defined in more detail. It is therefore not mandatory for the licence plate to be attached to the car with screws. Nor does the FZV preclude the licence plate from being attached with magnets.
In any case, it is important to follow the instructions for attaching licence plates with magnets exactly. Carefully attach the specified number of magnets to the bumper and licence plate.
Under NO circumstances should you use fewer magnets than specified or even use a set to attach one licence plate with magnets for two licence plates.
While driving, the licence plate is exposed to far greater loads and forces than when stationary. What is firmly attached in the car park can easily fly off while driving if you reduce the number of magnets.
The magnetic licence plate holder contains a total of 20 magnets for one licence plate. 10 magnets are attached to the inside of the bumper and 10 magnets to the back of the licence plate so that the licence plate remains firmly in place even at high speeds.

Notes on mounting:
Please be sure to observe the enclosed safety instructions! (in the data sheets tab)
