The 3.0 litre B58.2 turbo engine of the specified BMW & Toyota models is equipped with an indirect charge air cooling circuit. The charge air cooling process is therefore realised by a water-cooled charge air cooler, which is integrated directly into the intake manifold.
The WAGNERTUNING intake manifold with integrated intercooler has a new type of performance mesh, which was specially developed for the high demands and tight space conditions of the B58.2 engine and offers 128% more external mesh volume compared to the original intercooler. The ratio between the inner and outer cooling surface generates maximum heat transfer and at the same time enables the best possible internal air flow. With the help of CFD simulations, the end boxes, which are CNC-milled from solid material, were designed for optimum air flow conditions. The result is outstanding cooling properties with minimal back pressure. This kit is therefore also suitable for racing. Optimum cooling of the supercharged air with a significant increase in performance!
All WAGNERTUNING intercoolers are equipped with a thermally conductive anti-corrosion coating to ensure a long-lasting cooling effect. Installation of the system is also uncomplicated and plug & play with the help of our installation instructions.
